Hello,

My "real" ...lol... name is Christina...

I'm really just a regular person with a regular job, but I'm obsessed with make-up...  My worst nightmare would probably be to one day be confronted with the amount of money I've spent on make-up...  I do have friends who work for high end brands and often get me good deals, but I am constantly buying something as well...  

I also love "YouTubing" for reviews and swatches - I find it a great media for at least giving me a general direction, because it's simply impossible to try everything...  I mean we all know how many products there are out there.  Even if we were able to afford all of them, it would take more than a few life times to be able to try and truly test them all...

So this is why I think it's so important for all of us to share our thoughts on whatever we try, and this is exactly why I come here...

P.S.

I figured it would be a good idea to give a general description of what I like and my skin type… ;)  I’m in my late thirties, combination skin, NC/NW 15 in the winter and 20-ish in the summer...  I wear makeup every single day, because I love it and can’t live without it…  I’m not a big fan of high coverage foundations, but I’ll go for it a couple of times a year, either for a special occasion or when my skin is being invaded by “skin demons” (as one of my favorite YouTubers, “grav3yard girl”, would say)…  I love nudes and anything that would allow me to have a more or less natural look but with a touch of sophistication and glam.  I’m not big on bright, heavily pigmented lipsticks either – I prefer a tinted balm or a sheer lipstick with a touch of gloss in the middle…  
You will see that I own a lot of “e.l.f.” products because I love a lot of their makeup brushes as well as many of their “Mineral” line products.  I also love the fact that it’s a cruelty-free, extremely affordable brand…
In terms of scents, I prefer “floral” with a touch of subtle musk or cedar, or just woodiness in general.  I love floral scents, but I like them to have a bit more dimension, otherwise they sometimes smell like air fresheners or fabric softeners.  I also like anything that has a touch of green tea, lemon or rose, or any combinations of those three…  Basically, light but elegant with a touch of sophistication…

I recently started being very conscious of animal cruelty and I’m in the process of discovering a path to being a better, kinder, more compassionate person.  I think I’ve always been compassionate, but many of us live our lives with our eyes half-closed without ever realizing it.  So yes, I’m trying to find brands and products which follow the same principles and beliefs, and path I’m currently embarking on…
Yes, you will see that I do review products owned by brands which are not considered “cruelty-free” but the path is long and I’m only at the beginning of it.  I’m just amazed at how many changes we can make with very insignificant impact on our lives, and how much difference it can make in the lives of other creatures on this Earth…
